About Me

I'm a wife and mama of three beautiful children! I have worked in the corporate world and customer service industry since I was 15! It has taught me a lot of my skills and given me experience to be able to help people and businesses succeed. When I was 16, I started a job doing data entry for a company, that ended up hiring me on full-time after I graduated high school doing billing and accounts receivable. It was great and I was so excited to have a job right out of high school and this position taught me a lot! I was kind of a workaholic; I worked a full-time job during the week and then had a part-time job at a restaurant on nights and weekends. I feel like my life revolved around work and I was ok with that!

Fast forward to when I met my husband in 2011 and we got married in 2013. I decided I was going to go to college and get my bachelor's degree. After looking at different colleges and even trying one semester at a university, I decided that wasn't for me. I wanted more flexibility and freedom to work at my own pace. I started college online through DeVry University on an accelerated bachelor's degree program, it's a 4-year degree that you complete in only 3 years. I completed my Bachelor's Degreen in business administration and management with a specialization in project management only about 20 days before our first baby was born! I was still working full-time after having him in 2017. We were very fortunate to not have to put him in daycare, because we all know that can cost as much as a monthly mortgage payment in some cases. We had family to watch him, and my husband worked overnights at the time, but it still didn't sit very well with me that I wasn't with my baby for the majority of the day. Working full-time didn't seem so fun anymore. This is really when something started stirring inside of me, I knew I didn't want to work like this forever!

 

Before I had children the time freedom or working from home wasn't as important to me, but I knew after I had children that I wanted something different in my life! I wanted more freedom and the ability to be home with my kids as they grew up while still having an income and contributing to our household. I started researching everything I possibly could to make decent money at home and nothing really stuck for me. I had my degree, but I also didn't want to be tied down to my computer for 8-10 hours a day. I tried multiple MLM companies but didn't really have the passion for them and ultimately got nowhere. I just figured I would never be able to make it work to stay home, and I would just have to deal with working full-time and being away from my kids.

 

After many years of watching others around me have a lot of success with freelancing I decided to jump in too! This is how Brittany Boleen Virtual Solutions came to be. I love helping businesses free up more of their time and be successful! I also love getting to tap into my creative side and design something that people will love.
